Experience
I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching Science. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in Medical Technology. I have over fifteen years of experience teaching students Pharmacology, Physiology, and Anatomy. I am also comfortable helping students prepare for standardized tests, due to my experience working on a task force that developed questions for the Certified Medical Assisting exam. Additionally, I also have an M.B.A and am able to tutor students in Business and Economics. I have experience teaching a variety of different students, including students who were home schooled, students who went to traditional schools, non-traditional adult students, and GED recipients. My experience as an anatomy teacher stems from assisting with autopsies from my work in a hospital pathology department.My philosophy as a tutor is to ensure that no one ever leaves my classroom without learning something. Being prepared and organized are priorities for me. I also make sure that I adapt my lesson plans to fit the needs of my students. Not everyone has the same learning style, and the way I prepare my lessons reflects that. In my free time, I enjoy watching NCIS, Doctor Who, and Forensic Files. I also enjoy having backyard fires and participating in family game night with my children.
